Meditations on "Truth"

We feel guilty for all sorts of reasons. When we were running wild in our addiction we were not even aware of the harm we were causing.

God is always with me. I need never face my problems alone.

Becoming strong and steady in our recovery requires that we keep on listening and learning from God's Word and from the experience, strength, and hope of others.

Steadily moving forward in recovery is not easy. As we awaken out of the haze of years in addiction our minds are often filled with memories of things done to us and things we have done to others.

Broken relationships are a significant issue in most relapses back into active addiction.

The Bible makes it clear that God detests lying. In our addiction, most of the time, we did not speak the truth.

To be suspicious can be good or bad depending on the circumstances.

Feelings cannot always be trusted. They often point us to an incorrect perception of who we are, who God is, and what is happening in our circumstances.

Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path .

Low self-esteem is a negative sense of one's worth or ability to cope or do well in life.

We are spiritual beings who have a soul and live in a body.

A healthy foundation for life with God in recovery includes seeking truth in all our affairs.
