Meditations on "Recovery"

People who wink at wrong cause trouble, but a bold reproof promotes peace.

God offers us a loving relationship with Himself. When we experience that relationship, we will be healthy enough to establish loving relationships with others.

When we face difficulties and problems we often ask ourselves questions such as: Does God care about me?

Problems! Problems! Problems! Sometimes life seems full of them.

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

God is always calling us to fullness of joy in Him – reasonable happiness in this life and supreme happiness with God forever in the next.

God has a plan for my life. Many of us have found peace and security as we have believed this truth.

Not only does God love and value us but He also has a special plan for each one of us.

In some recovery circles we affirm this “Life Affirmation #2” on a regular basis: My life is of great beauty and infinite value.

In some recovery meetings we affirm three life affirmations.

When you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

… we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.
