Meditations on "Truth"

Two of the many reasons we excuse giving into temptation and rationalizing our behaviour are: 1) We want what sin has to offer us.

Rationalizing is a thought process where we provide a reasonable but untrue argument for harmful actions we plan to take, or have taken.

If we hold something in our hand and let go of it, it will drop to the ground.

Is there really a God? It's a question many people ask at various times in their lives.

God desires to have a relationship with each one of us.

To know the will of God for our lives requires spending time with Him.

Taking responsibility for our lives, from God’s perspective is: owning our behaviour, confessing our sin, and turning away from destructive actions.

When another person is gathered in the same place that we are do we smile and say “hello” or, do we grunt and wish that there was no one else here but us.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves.

Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.

What time is it? How much time does it take for the job to be done?
