Meditations on "Wisdom"

Many of us have been in the company of others who think they know everything but when they open their mouths not much wisdom comes out.

When we wake up each morning, are our first thoughts about a desire to praise God for His grace and goodness to us or, are they focused on our problems and things that need to be done?

"Live and let live" is one of those slogans that encourage us to consider if our desire for control is becoming an issue we need to deal with.

Each person has many decisions to make each day. At any given time we may find ourselves at that place where two roads meet and wonder which road we should take.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Someone has rightly said, "If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

God is always with me. I need never face my problems alone.

There is a right time for everything, and everything on earth will happen at the right time.

How many times have we spoken before thinking and, as the saying goes, “put our foot in our mouth?

Just for today I will try to live in conscious contact with God praying only for knowledge of His will and the power to carry it out.

We live in a beautiful world created by God. Because God desired a people for relationship with Himself, He made humans in His own image.

When we reflect on our destructive and addictive lifestyle we begin to recognize the extent of the dumb choices we have made.
